Affiliate marketing with PPC programs?
Does anyone earn from affiliate marketing without a website and through PPC services like Adwords and Yahoo search marketing, etc? How did you start?
You need to do a lot of "homework" and research before spending money on PPC to drive traffic to affiliate merchants.
If you’re thinking about buying a "program" that some promoter is selling, think twice.

A good place to research affiliate marketing is ABestWeb (http://www.ABestWeb.com/) which is a community of affiliates and merchants — don’t post there until you’ve spent at least 10 hours searching and reading old discussions.

I run a web design business. Marketing is difficult, I get referral jobs but nothing else works. Any ideas?
I have tried adwords, mailshots, local press, email….everything, but it seems the only way small business owners will make a purchase decision is based on word of mouth.
Any thoughts/opinions from business owners or marketing experts would be most welcome!

Try the idea of doing the charity, or pick your best work and run some PR from that, i can help with ideas if youre stuck. Try networking with you local chamber (or busines orgaanisation) and meet other business, networks work.
While decision get made on person-person basis, marketing helps get your brand out there (among zillions of other web designers) and helps influence before the decision - so it is really vital. It isnt that easy otherreise we’d all be rich! I do marketing consultancy if that helps in the future.

The Real magic? NOT but chinese FRAUD! (part 1 of 6)

Some things about part 1:
a)it’s pretty obvious something from under the cloth pushes up on the brick causing it to fall over
b)The guy in the tan shirt near the middle is Sima Nan… famous for offering a 1Million Yuan prize for anyone who can prove they have real powers. He’s exposed many dozens and gets death threats regularly.
c)not sure if the guy at the end (in the black shirt) is a scientist or a magician. He is watching the video, and explaining to the girl what to watch for and how the trick might have been done, and how to test it.

I’m tired of idiots complaining that they watched all six parts and fail to see how he was completely debunked. Let’s rehearse the facts that are CLEARLY seen:
1)They show indents in the table cloth, then show something pokes up through the cloth to topple the bricks. When she moves the bricks, he fails to topple them, and then tries to re-position the bricks over his indents. (at :10 of the first video, you can CLEARLY see the table cloth poking up causing the brick to fall)
2)They show there are magnets hidden inside the table and explain a pulley system. When she provides her own bowl (without magnets hidden in the base), he fails to move it.
3)They show weights sewn into the cloth covering the jar. They explain springs or something is triggered to shatter the jar and the weight keeps the jar from flying. When she provides her own jar and cloth, he fails to shatter it.

Whats all this about affiliate marketing?
What now, I post an affiliate link to google adwords? People actually make money doing this? Get outta town! Do you do this? How does it work? HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING IT?
Boy your question certainly gave all the con artists a chance to give their sales pitches didnt it.
I love the one with ‘free’ and ‘guaranteed’ in caps - a sure sign of a scam if ever I saw one.
The simple answer is that if something looks too good to be true (eg making money by doing very little) it usually is.
Invest in more productive and self fulfilling actitivies is my advice.

I HAVE RAN IN TO SO MANY EBOOKS ABOUT AFFILIATE MARKETING AND 99.9% OF WHAT I FOUND IS THE AUTHER BRAGGING ABOUT HOW GOOD HE OR SHE IS AT IT I NEED SOME ONE TO PULL ME OUT OF THE BS PILE AND PLEASE NO SPAMMERS OR RUDE ANSWERS THEY WILL BE REPLIED WITH AN ABUSE REPORT
If someone really came up with a get rich quick scheme that worked why would they give it to anyone else?
